How to raise your vibration

As everything that exists is energy so are we and that means we have a certain frequency at which we vibrate. Everyone knows phrases like “That is not my vibe” or “Your vibe attracts your tribe”. We get along with certain people, we have likes and dislikes, feel comfortable and familiar with places and that’s all due to our and their vibration. If we resonate, our frequencies resonate so we think of it as pleasant and if our frequencies don’t match, we don’t, or even feel repelled by whatever it is.

Our bodies are very sensitive to frequencies, even if we don’t consciously notice. The food we eat, the cloths we wear, what and where we work, all that affects us and our vibration. This is one reason why it is so important to take care of our bodies, eat healthy food and move enough if we want to stay balanced. The body is like an antenna that tells us if something is off or if something is good for us. The ‘cleaner’ the body is the more sensitive it is to vibrations, in a nutshell that means the more information it can receive. If we are able to receive lots of information our lives can be quite easy, given the case that we know how to deal with this. Being receptive to the the energy around us makes it possible to learn what is good for our body and our mind, it helps us to communicate on a much deeper level of understanding with eacher other and it brings more clarity to otherwise confusing situations, ideas or thoughts.

If we are open to use and make use of this data it can hold incredible opportunities for us. So if we want to receive more information we have to keep our vibe high, so to speak. In our physical world that would mean to not get sick anymore or to heal very quickly, to feel more content and peaceful and to attract easily what we desire. That all sounds too good to be true to some but for many people this is just the next step in our human evolution. We are all capable of living healthy happy lives and this is not just some New Age phrase that denies any “negativity” in this world. We do live in a physical world of dualities and that means we experience good and bad. It is our choice though if we suffer from the so called bad experiences or how we face them.

There are many ways to raise our vibration, mentally and physically. On a physical basis it is easy to keep a high frequency. The most impactful way is through nutrition. What we eat and drink has an enormous influence on us. Simply by eating a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, skipping meat and alcohol and especially having a diet that suits everyone’s personal needs we can reduce the risk of getting sick to a minimum. There is no one way fits all when it comes to diet so everyone has to learn to listen to their bodies again and see what is healthy for them. Ayurveda is a great way to find out what is good for you personally.

Unfortunately we live in a world where it is normal to intoxicate our bodies and for some people it is not that easy to keep the body clean. My vice is everything sweet, sugar is addictive and sometimes it is really difficult to not overeat on sweets. Of course we can enjoy whatever we eat and don’t have to be healthy all the time. As with everything, the dose makes the poison and awareness is the cure. It is better to eat a bar of chocolate and fully enjoy it than eat it and feel guilty about it.

Spending plenty of time in nature raises our frequency almost instantly. Being around trees, walking barefoot on the grass or swimming in the ocean is the best remedy. Nature is healing and has a high vibration that is 'contageous' in the best way possible.

On a mental level it might be a bit more difficult or less obvious how to raise our vibration. A highly effective way is through our thoughts and we all know how hard it can be to control them and not be controlled by them. A negative thought, which means a thought that shows characteristics of guilt, shame, jealousy, hatred or any kind of negative self talk is on a very low vibration and pulls us down instantly. There is no way around working with our mind and thoughts when we want to feel at peace and live a constructive life. Given the fact that most of our thoughts are negative we actually should reduce them in general. It is not necessary to have the amount of thoughts that we have every day especially because these thoughts are unconsciously, they are ruling us.

Meditation is the practice to observe our thoughts and as a natural result will reduce them. It creates space between the thought and us which shows us that we are not what we think and therefore they won't affect us and our emotional state as much. Using imagination in your meditation can also be used to raise your frequency and even energetically cleanse yourself. Light meditation where we simply imagine golden or white light clearing and flowing through us is highly effective. There are also plenty of guided meditation to get into if you are just starting.

The environment, things and people we surround ourselves with, have a huge impact on our frequency. Sometimes it seems easier that we let someone or something pull us down and be in a bad mood than lift us up. If our partner or boss is angry this might affect us within a second if we are not aware of it. Surround yourself with more beauty in every way possible and however that looks for you. People that are loving and kind have a high vibration and that is something everyone can feel. We all want to have people in our lives that are kind, generous and just have a light nature so be that person yourself and you will most likely attract more of that. Another point to consider is our living space. A messy and dirty place will not help us to lift our mood but if you take care of your house or apartment and make yourself a clean and cosy home it will make a big difference.There are so many different things to do that can change our frequency in order for us to become lighter, the points listed above are just a guidline to get started.

This planet has a frequency of its own as well. Eventhough it often might not look like it but earth is raising its frequency as well and we are playing a big part in it. As this is a world of contrasts there seems to be a lot of darkness at the moment but this is also because the light gets stronger and more and more people are waking up. The more important it is for us to keep our vibration high and become the light we want to see in this world. It all starts within every single one of us.
