Why does it sometimes seem so difficult to get the things we want in life? Why does it take so long or doesn't come at all? What is it about this thing called manifesting? And why do we stand in our own way most of the time? What does love and fear have to do with all this? If these are thoughts and questions you have, keep reading.
Manifesting became such a trend word lately. You find books and courses on how to manifest a million dollars or the love of your life or whatever you desire over night. I find that only very few people have a deeper insight on manifestation and keep their advices and tips on a very superficial level. Most likely this is why it won't work if you want to manifest your villa on the beach. To attract what you want, you have to have a solid insight about yourself and your energy. As long as your thoughts, words and actions are not aligned it will block you.
Our thoughts are so powerful but most people are not even aware of them most of the time. Basically all of us experience this state of being 'in your head' and not even realizing it for a while. Our thoughts took control over us. If we are not conscious of our thoughts, we will very easily say things we don't really mean or phrase statements in a negative or destructive way. Words 'slip out' and we are not aware of how this creates our reality. Unaware of thoughts and words, our actions will reflect this and we do things we don't really want to or end up seeing ourselves as victims of our surrounding. Then we stop taking action at all.
Meditation helps us to practice mindfulness. It makes us become aware of our thoughts and brings calmness to the mind. We become observers of our thoughts and this gives us power over them. We stop being controlled by our mind and start being able to see what is happening 'up there'. This is the first and most important step.
I say the first step because it is difficult to be fully aware of our thoughts or actually of our believes. We all grew up under certain conditioning and belief systems and they are deep down rooted in our subconscious. It can be tricky to get to a root thought or idea we have about something as we are not really aware of it - these thoughts are in our subconscious. This is why we have to get to know our selves very well and become aware of how we think and what we think about the world around us. Through recalling our childhood topics, our social system, the way our parents think and how society conditioned us we will be able to bring consciousness to our root believes.
Let's say you want to attract a lot of money. On the surface you believe that is really what you want but if you grew up in a household where a lacking mindset was common deep down you will think you will never have enough, therefore you will never attract enough. If you grew up being taught that people with a lot of money are not good people you will not attract a lot of money because deep down you believe it is bad or will turn you into a bad person. This is why it is so important to bring all these ideas to the surface and become aware of your believes.
Another common topic is love and relationships. Subconsciously a lot of people believe they are not good enough which results in thinking they are not worthy of unconditional love. As a result many of us attract relationships that mirror exactly that. These relationships will give you the opportunity to learn, or remember, how to love yourself again through many challenges. If you want a relationship that is reflecting unconditional love you have to give this love to yourself first otherwise your false believes about yourself or relationships will keep attracting the challenging partners that mirror your lack of selflove.
Once you become aware of your patterns and believes there is still the topic about your actions and words. We all have self-sabotaging habits to some extent. Everyone knows that we have to take care and nurture our body, yet very few of us really do that. Alcohol and unhealthy food are tolerated in our society and it is a habit of putting this into our bodies on a regular basis. People are usually aware of the effects but they do it anyways. So if you want to attract a beautiful healthy body your actions have to be aligned with your thought about what is good for you.
One of the most important points is the question about your intention. Do you think and act out of love or out of fear? Do you want a million dollars because you are afraid you will never have enough or do you want to create a life full of joy with it? Do you want a partner because you are afraid to be alone and want someone to make you happy or do you want to share your unconditional love for yourself with another person and create a beautiful union with someone who can give and receive this love as well? If our intentions are in an energy of fear and lack we will not attract abundance in our life. If our wishes are out of love, for our self, others and everything around us, we will attract exactly this - love and abundance.
I find it very helpful to really ask myself if I am having thoughts, wishes or making decisions out of fear or out of love. Do I come from a place of fear or do I already see the abundance that is here? It gives a good insight into our thought patterns and evaluates in what kind of energy we are. Check in with yourself often and see where your thoughts and actions originate from.
Now, there is also the topic of being patient when it comes to our wishes. There is the right timing for everything and sometimes we get impatient and think something has to happen faster than it is. When we start to doubt that we get what we want we start to push these things away from us. The energy of doubt, fear and overthinking will just postpone what is on its way to us. It is really difficult to stay in this trust and knowing that we deserve and get what we want and what is meant for us but here as well our intention has to stay loving. On the other hand of course some things are not meant to be no matter how much we think we want them. Then we have to reflect on why we want something that much - fear or love? Deep down we all know what will come to us and what our path is. This path is plastered with challenges and what might seem setbacks but whatever is meant for us will happen, no matter what - and what is not meant for us will never happen, no matter how hard we try. Knowing this should be relieving.
We have to find the balance of wanting something and then being able to let go of how the outcome should be. We can have goals, wishes and ideas but in the end we have to detach from the outcome. If you are aware that everything you need is already there, within you, you will attract exactly this - everything.
